Training the Struggling MLMer
There is something that I have noticed a lot lately. I guess that it has always been there, but for some reason, it seems to have been bombarding me recently. What I am talking about is actually a very common problem I see among network marketers. I find this problem exceedingly curable, so I wish to help you out as much as possible.
Let me show you what I am talking about with an example. I am 24 years old and I graduated college with a degree in biology. I have never had any classes in medicine or anything to do with being a doctor. Let’s say that tomorrow I decide that I want to be a doctor. Would it make sense for me to drive down to the E.R. and ask if I can start cutting into people’s hearts?
You’re probably thinking, duh! Of course no one would do that! It doesn’t make any sense for someone without medical training to try to be a doctor! That would never happen! Not to mention, I’m pretty sure you wouldn’t feel very comfortable doing it either.
Well, it’s not as dumb as you think, because it happens in the network marketing industry EVERY DAY! People who have no experience at all in business decide to give it a try and jump right in. Then they wonder why they fail . . .
I love that anyone in this business can succeed, but when we say that, it means anyone who is willing to take the time and effort to learn this business inside and out.
Let’s imagine that you just got a brand new job handling a cash register at Wal-Mart. You show up for the first day and you meet your supervisor. The first thing she does, without giving you any training, is walk you over to a register and tell you to get to work. What would you do? Obviously, either you would complain that you don’t know how to use it, or you would just go and figure it out.
It would take you a little while to figure it out, but eventually you would learn it. However, a cash register is just a few buttons with labels on them. Imagine how hard learning an entire industry and building your own business would be without receiving training first!
This is why EVERY industry in the world requires training. If you want to write ads for Best Buy, they don’t just throw any Joe in there and hope he knows what he’s doing. If you want to be a teacher, doctor, accountant, or engineer, you have to go to at least 4 years of college to learn it and then extensive training at your new job.
Around 95% of network marketers are spending more money than they are making. So, how can you be a part of the elite 5% if you don’t even take the time to train?
When you don’t take the time to learn your industry first, there are many problems that arise. A few of these are:
- You don’t generate any leads
- You waste your time trying to find something that works
- If you do get a prospect, you don’t know what to do with them
- You lose your money
- You market your business instead of yourself
And that’s assuming you know what an autoresponder is, a capture page, front end, back end, upsell, affiliate marketing, and the other million technical things that people don’t understand when they start out. I struggled in the network marketing industry for quite some time. The reason that eventually I was able get out of the rut and start making money was because I decided to take the time to train myself. I had to learn this industry extensively before I really understood how to build a business and make money. I’m not just talking about the million and one free ebooks out there! Some of them are good, but then again some of them are just worth what you paid for them, nothing.
I hope this helps you understand the value of training, and if you aren’t having success, or don’t know how to, I encourage you to put in your information in the form at the top of the page.
Have a great day!

Sure Erin i agree with you :
1-To attract other people in a certain niche, you shall give them the information they don’t know.
2-To give them what they didn’t know, you must increase your level of knowledge about this niche.
3-To increase your knowledge you shall read books, watch videos, take courses ..etc but be careful.
don’t follow all expert in the world, just follow the right expert, understand what he teach you , apply it, sure you will get the results
Right Leader + Hard Work = Success

Great article Erin! It’s true that there are a lot of network marketers who fail because they don’t get the necessary training to build up there skills. I see a lot of people like that in the social media world. They are too busy trying to promote their company instead of trying to promote themselves.
