The fact is, you probably aren’t very good at selling stuff.

Don’t worry, I’m no Picasso at it either… and neither are the vast majority of internet marketers.

The good news? You don’t really have to blatantly pitch anything to make sales, and in fact the best way to sell is so unobtrusive that you’ll feel like you aren’t really selling anything at all.

First of all, head on over to BenSettle.com and subscribe to his email list (I don’t get anything from this, just a GREAT resource). He is the king of what I’m about to describe to you right now.

Let me ask a question: which is more likely to convince you to go see a movie: a commercial about the movie, or your best friend telling you it’s a great movie?

It’s always going to be your best friend, hands down. It’s impossible to trust the motives of a commercial, but your best friend doesn’t get anything out of suggesting the movie to you.

The more you can convince your readers that you are a friend, genuinely interested in their well-being, then the easier it is for you to simply suggest something and get them to buy it.

And the best way to build that relationship is to provide value. Lots and lots of value.

That’s what Ben Settle does so well (did you subscribe to him yet?!). He subtly builds a relationship with you by helping you learn something new, and then at the end of his emails he simply suggests more info by going to his products’ websites. Or, he’ll just throw in a little P.S.

Here are some types of emails that you should focus on, while crafting your link into the flow of the message:

-Teasing a piece of content
-Telling a personal story and relate to your subject
-Straight up how-to’s
-Insights you’ve learned
-Promoting other people’s content (preferably members of your own downline)

Most people give up on this strategy because it might take a few weeks before you’ll see people start to respond to your emails, look you up on Facebook, visit your blog, and buy stuff, but most people who try to outright sell stuff never do.

Build those relationships now for a long lasting and lucrative business!
