Facebook Marketing Ideas For Easy Free Leads
^^Share this post if you like these Facebook Marketing Ideas!
I’ve decided that I was going to start doing webinars every Tuesday night. Speaking of which, if you have any thoughts about what you would like to learn about leave them in the comment section below!
Last night the webinar was on different Facebook marketing ideas. You can find the recording on my Freebinar profile: http://freebinar.com/ErinSmith Plus you can register for next week’s webinar about getting traffic to your blog.
I’m going to recap what I taught last night with my Facebook marketing ideas.
The best place to find targeted leads is through the social medias. People use social media to connect with other people so why not use that to your advantage?
The Facebook platform is divided into three main components: profiles, groups, and pages. By typing keywords into the search bar of Facebook, you can easily find your target market’s groups and pages.
Number 1 for my Facebook marketing ideas:
When you’re getting started with Facebook this is what you should do:
Set up your Facebook profile to be very personalized. Nobody wants to connect with another MLM robot! If all you have is your primary opportunity splattered all over, then nobody is going to really want to connect with you.
Add pictures, your likes, your interests, movies, music, your website, email, and of course a short little bio about you. This will make it much easier for people to connect with you and you’ll look like a real person instead of some creeper hiding behind the computer screen.
Join groups and pages that are in your target market. For example network marketing, MLM, Facebook for business, and Facebook MLM tribes.
Jump in on conversations that you see on the home page of Facebook so people see who you are. Write something controversial or inspiring in your status updates to get attention. You need to get people excited and notice stuff about you!
RULES: NEVER EVER IN A MILLION YEARS post your opportunity on someone’s profile wall!! That is just rude and annoying and you will probably get marked as a spammer. The profile wall is where you post something conversational to that person, NOT your links.
Your links are meant for the groups and pages that are not personal pages. Usually there is a description somewhere that will tell you the “rules” for the group or page.
Number 2 for Facebook marketing ideas:
The key to success with Facebook is to be consistent and be everywhere with whatever it is that you are doing. In the webinar last night I went over the specific details about what I do on Facebook every day.
If you go on Facebook and post 2 ads on the groups and then don’t get on for another week, more than likely you are never going to get people to click on your link. But if someone sees your face over and over again and they see you everywhere they are much more likely to click on your ad.
By being consistent you are already starting to build trust with your prospect. That’s a little weird to think about right? By being consistent on Facebook you’re building trust with potential leads? YES!
And by being everywhere you are also building trust and social proof that people know who you are. If you’re on the groups, the pages, dropping by to say hi on profiles, jumping into status updates, and commenting on things, you are being everywhere.
To help you to be consistent and be everywhere, I highly recommend that you make a list of everything you want to accomplish on Facebook and stick to that list! That way you will be 10X more efficient with your time.
RULES: If you are going to share your blog post or ad (basically ANYTHING with a link), then make sure that you do not post them too fast! Facebook will see you as a spammer and you will get shut down! It’s a gradual process when it comes to posting lots of links. Start out with 5 a day and work up slowly from there.
Number 3 of my Facebook marketing ideas:
Only share your primary opportunity when the time is right!
My number one strategy on Facebook is direct messaging my leads that come from my blog. A lot of times when I ask them how they are doing and what they do for a living the answer they give is a link to their replicated website.
NO!!! That is NOT what you do!
People who ask you what you do for a living are trying to start a conversation and get to know you better. Don’t be the MLM robot and spam your link to anyone who sounds like they could potentially be interested!
RULES: Only give your link to someone who asks you for it, they really are interested, or to someone that you already know so well that you’re “recommending” and not “pitching”. If someone is married to their business then you are more than likely NOT going to convince them to join your business.
Find the people who are looking for another business or a different leader to join. You’re only going to find that out if you truly connect with the people you’re talking to.
Those are my top three Facebook marketing ideas!

Hi Erin,
Sounds like you covered heaps of useful information in your webinar.
I think your point about being consistent is so important. Of course this relates to whatever we are doing but since we are talking about FB I would suggest making what one does manageable on a daily basis and then prioritize the activity so you do it every day.
You have provided great tips for someone to be able to do exactly this.

Great ideas Erin, sometimes I wonder if posting your blog article links in groups is considered as spamming? What do you think?

Heck no it’s not spamming!! I mean yes there are some group admins who specifically say don’t share your link . . . but then what’s the point of having a group? If you look at 95% of the stuff that is posted on the groups you can see that it’s definitely spam! Most say something like, “generate 1 million leads today and retire tomorrow!” then a link to their replicated website. Now THAT is spam. But if you post your blog content or an ad that has something of value for someone, like free training, then I think that is totally okay with me.

Hey Erin,
You covered all that in a single webinar? No kidding?
Brilliant job. I know people who would charge for that info. It goes to say that you don’t just talk the talk about giving without want and leading with value, but you also walk the talk.
A little on #2: I dare say that it is also wrong to post your blog post on anyone’s facebook wall, no matter how valuable it is. You see, if people see the value themselves they’ll share it. I’m seeing people do it now and it is getting irritating.
Great tips, Erin!

Hey Tosin!! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment.
I like that you say I walk the talk haha
Love it! And I am SO ANNOYED with the people posting on the profile wall! If someone posts stuff on my wall that’s not talking to me directly I straight up tell them they shouldn’t do that. One guy came back and said, well that’s how I was taught to market on Facebook. Well whoever taught him was dumb LOL!

What response. “That’s the way I’m taught to market” Pathetic!
Well maybe he’ll be humble enough to ask you the way out and watch your webinar.

LOL yeah I thought that was a dumb response too. He actually said that it was MLSP that taught him to do it. Yeah right!
Insightful as ever Erin – Agree that you should always try to stop into the Groups that you are posting in to see if I can help anyone or add any value to the content that is there. Great post
