Are Paid Leads Better Than Free MLM Leads?
^^ Share the Love about Paid Leads!
To answer this question, let’s talk about Attraction Marketing for a sec. Attraction Marketing is the ability to attract people to you by making yourself valuable.
Attraction Marketing IS hands down the best way to market online because people chase you down instead of the other way around. You market yourself, other people perceive you as a leader, and they want to work with you.
We can see this in the offline business world. Do you think Warren Buffett has to look hard to find someone who will work with him? Everyone knows how good a leader he is, so everyone wants to work with him. You can do the same for yourself.
Free Leads or Paid Leads?
Paid leads can get you a bunch of traffic really quick. Usually it takes a lot less time, just purchase an ad or set up a campaign, and you got traffic. But does using paid leads really make sense for an attraction marketer?
Free leads usually come from social media. Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, Blogs, and other places are fantastic for getting tons of free leads, just ask Katie Freiling.
Plus, they are an attraction marketer’s gold mine. Why? When someone takes a look at your business or gives you a call, they already know who you are. They can read your profile on Facebook or read what you write about on your blog. When you get in contact with them, they are already sold on YOU.
Can you do this with paid traffic? Not really. You can’t sell people on YOU in two lines of a Google Ad. They don’t really know who you are or how you work by reading an ezine ad you wrote.
You will have to work harder at selling yourself over the phone instead of doing it beforehand. But, if you send them to your blog or some video about you, that’s a little different. And you are still doing the work of marketing.
Now I want to talk about REALLY paying for leads. These are the leads that you buy off of someone. The problem with these leads is that they have no idea who you are. You don’t know if they’re even network marketers, and I have found that a lot of them don’t even speak English!
I quite using paid leads a long time ago when I learned for myself that it is a big waste of money when there are so many other options available. AND you can actually teach your downline how to generate their own traffic as well which establishes you even more as a leader.
Obviously, paid traffic has its advantages, but you simply cannot have the same quality leads that you can get from Web 2.0. Most of the marketing strategies I do are free, and the people I talk to recognize me when I call them and already know that they want to work with me.
And, as an online coach and mentor, I’ve helped hundreds of people to quit using paid leads and generate all the free leads they want! To begin building your business the RIGHT way by leveraging the internet and generating leads, CLICK HERE!

I agree, paid leads aren’t buying anything on the basis of knowing you personally. What’s even more difficult is purchasing genealogy lists also known as “cold call lists” which is just buying a list of leads. The people on those lists have no clue who you are or how you got their phone number!

and you can’t tell them how you got their number either! How lame is that when they ask how you got their information. . . uh well I bought your info. Instead of being able to say, oh well on April 16th at 8:00pm you answered one of my Facebook ads.

Erin,
I love the FREE marketing strategies as well. Although it takes a little longer to get the job done, the relationship is much more solidified by the time you actually speak with the person on the phone.
I will be doing Paid strategies soon, but I do feel it’s better for a beginner marketer to start with free marketing strategies.

Erin I agree with you on the free traffic the relationship is more grounded and it’s like hearing from an old friend when it is time to make the call. But on the other side ppc handled correctly has some great results to but there are a lot more risk involved.

Calling and talking with paid leads can be one of the best personal development methods out there, or it can lead to delusion and depression

It’s true! I have found that sometimes after I called someone and completely screw it up I get a little depressed. But then I sit there and replay the conversation in my head and see how I can do better. We can’t let a phone call get us down. And there are a million other fish in the sea to talk to anyway

Every time you call someone and have a conversation you have an opportunity to learn something. You can then take those skills and apply them to face to face encounters. Next thing you know you are standing in front of a group talking.

You have agood point about the paid leads. Some times the leads have been sold over and over to others.
Have a great day

You’re right on when it comes to attraction marketing. Blogging and social media however takes time and patience but sticking with it gives long term resutls and that’s what we should be after.

Yep, this industry is about finding something that works and then giving it enough time to let it work!
