The 3 Places To Generate The Best Leads of All Time
It’s been drilled into all of us that we HAVE TO generate loads of leads to make it big time.
And I’m here to tell you that’s not necessarily true.
They have to be the right kinds of leads, too.
“So wait… not only do I have to worry about generating leads, I also have to get the right kinds of leads??!! This just gets harder and harder!”
Yep.
The biggest waste of a day online in my career was the day I generated 137 leads.
Crazy, huh?
I thought I had it going! I thought I’d stumbled onto something that worked BIG TIME. It was incredibly fun watching the leads come rollin’ in.
Then it was the end of the day, and no one bought anything… then the 2nd day came and went, and the 3rd day, and so on.
I never made a dime from those leads.
While I would agree that most of the time generating oodles of leads means you’re making great money, not all leads are created equal.
There are 3 places that I consider to be the best leads that you can possibly generate… and they are:
- YouTube
- Blog
I would rather have 1 lead from Facebook, YouTube, or my blog than 3 leads from an “impersonal” source like PPC or from an article directory.
How Does Knowing That Make You Money?
First (and most obvious!), is that you should spend your marketing time on those 3 places.
You don’t have to generate quite as many leads and they’ll be more likely to buy.
Secondly, let’s understand why these 3 places produce such fantastic, ready-to-buy leads.
On Facebook, YouTube, and a blog, your prospects can learn about you before opting in to your list.
Through Facebook, getting leads usually requires direct messages or doing the chat with other people. It’s a great opportunity to show off your skillz and what you know.
On YouTube, generally you’re showing how to do something or teaching a mindset principle (or you could do “off the wall” videos and send them to your blog to become leads).
They hear your voice, maybe see your face, and trust can be established very quickly.
Then of course your blog is basically a giant advertisement about YOU!
A blog’s best use is basically as a “come spy on me and see what I do!” Your readers are let into your life, and they’d rather work with someone they know a lot about instead of some person they’ve never heard of before.
Your prospects read and learn all about you without actually taking up your time.
Here’s the lesson to take away…
If you’re using other sources than the 3 I mentioned (YT, FB, your blog), then try to use the principles of why those 3 sources work so well in your own marketing.
For example, I know that some people detest social media and blogging and wouldn’t resort to it if they had a gun to their heads… unfortunately for those network marketers your prospects have to get to know you before they’ll act (and social media is the best for that).
So, if you’re doing PPC or articles or any other “impersonal” strategies, try to incorporate YOU into it as much as possible.
Tell stories from your life and your network marketing career.
On capture pages, use video and tell a little about yourself.
By doing that, you won’t ever get emails asking “And who the heck are you?” and “How’d you get my email again?”
Just by being you and letting people into your world is the best marketing strategy there is!
Let’s Hear From YOU!

Hey Erin,
I couldn’t agree more with you.
Whenever Network Marketers tell me they don’t like social media or blogging then I always find myself wondering how successful they really are.
Network Marketing is all about connecting with people and FB, YT and blogging are by far the best ways to generate leads that are connection worthy compared with other Internet Marketing methods.
I have in fact told many a Network Marketer that I thought they were deluded and better suited to affiliate marketing where there is little need to connect with the person buying.
Saying this however I am sure that if affiliate marketers did connect more with people they would actually increase their conversion rates too.

They are better suited for doing just affiliate marketing. That’s why us amazing network marketers make more money because we make those connections and have a new sign up into our MLM and also sell them affiliate products to help them succeed in the business.

Hi Erin,
Powerful info that ANYONE can implement immediately to start generating leads into their pipeline,
It’s amazing how these simple things ( ordinary places) can drive more sales to our business without of course coming up with other earth-shattering tactics.
Great stuff! Keep it coming,
