Erin Smith's official blog. Tips, secrets, and strategies to help you build your online business. Don't get stuck with the outdated, marketing junk that doesn't work!
Writing a half-decent email that actually sells stuff for you is a difficult thing to do…
And, unfortunately, it’s one of THE essential skills in internet network marketing. Without it, you’ll never make high numbers of sales or recruit more than a few people in a month.
Now, I’ve never put together a formula for writing good emails, but I realized that I go through virtually the same process every time.
The people we hear about every day in internet marketing are the people who are making millions of bucks every year. We hear all the “Get Rich Quick” stories and think most people are making money out there… except us.
But, the truth is most people are just looking to cover their monthly mortgage or make a little extra to go on vacation.
They set small goals and do mostly small things trying to get there.
I’m going to convince you that it’s ESSENTIAL to dream big and set big goals if you want any shot at making a living at this online stuff.
Going for something small will always have more competition than going for it all in MLM. Read the rest of this entry
This is a topic that I’m extremely passionate about…
There are literally thousands of blogs out there all trying to make money within the same general market. Now, I know that market is huge, but it’s an obvious trend that the best of the best get the most traffic and bucks, leaving little for everyone else.
The most important skill to make your blog stand out is learning how to write in such a way that your readers are sucked in and keep coming back for more…
Don’t settle for a “cliff-notes” education about writing… you have to study, practice, and just plain WRITE A LOT.
Here are some of my favorite tips that have helped me improve my writing tremendously (plus 5 ideas for your next 5 blog posts)
99% of internet marketers sell completely backwards.
The good news is that it’s not that hard a fix.
Maybe you’ve heard the phrase “vomit all over the prospect” … basically meaning that as soon as you have someone’s attention, you throw up every last stat you can think of about your company or product.
If you’ve had someone do that to you, you realize how uninteresting it is to a prospect. It’s dull and annoying and worst of all, the prospect has no idea why they should want your product.
"I'm trying to improve my efforts in Marketing! I'm very new at all of this, and to me you just seem more like a real person than most. A lot of the people I talk to about this business are always trying to sell me on their opportunities. Which isn't the problem, the problem is they say they want to help. All I get is sales pitches. You're the best Erin, keep up the good work! It's nice to meet a real person and not just a salesman or saleswoman. When I do get things going forward, I'll always remember you as the person who showed me the way!"
